It's always good to google terms you frequently use and believe you've coined. I just did, and I learned that baby piles are piles (aka HEMORRHOIDS) on a baby. That's plain sad. I'm just talking about pictures of babies piled up, usually on couches, for photo-ops where each child is subsequently tagged as their parent on Facebook. I always imagine what everyone else is doing behind the camera. Laughing at the babies? Trying to make the babies smile? And how do so many of the babies pass out?

Is this in my head and not really a "thing?" Am I just obsessed because I don't have a baby and when I see a whole bunch of them all alone like little lumps I think I could take a couple? Am I the only person that thinks about this? Possibly..Probably.

EXAMPLES:

*Bold pile on a White (!) couch. Baby on armrest brings edginess.

*Pile development. One must always be weary of tricksters waiting until the last minute to contribute their spawn. Time is of the essence. Prime photo placement can be lost in a matter of seconds.

*Neck twist, baby out. Noteworthy gradation.

*Pile lacks focus. Big kid in red stood up and took control of the moment. Timing is critical and photo-op can be lost with one unruly huckster.

*Hairless cat pile highlighting objectification and hairless nature of babies in piles.

*Unique pile with a bigger-baby "lay-across," which can 1. operate as a safety mechanism and 2. add more dynamic with contrasting vectors. Kudos to added depth and safety-promotion via car-seats.

*Baby-splay. Not as common, but definitely possible.

I feel sorry for babies in piles and babies with piles. In the future, one might appreciate these tender moments, the other, not so much.
